This hands-on course is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to confidently deliver a professional chair-based acupressure massage. Following expert demonstration by your tutor, you’ll have the opportunity to practise each section of the routine, gradually building up to a full treatment that includes the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and scalp.
What You’ll Learn
The massage techniques taught by our soft tissue specialists firstly provide advanced level soft tissue release techniques including neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy and cross fibre massage techniques. This is to relax the muscles and nerve innovations for direct physical benefits. Further to this, within this course will be traditional meridian line therapy, targeting key energy pathways for optimal relaxation and wellbeing:

Bladder Meridian – along the spine and scapula

Gallbladder Meridian – across the shoulder

Heart, Large Intestine, and Triple Warmer Meridians – down the arms

Lung Meridian – key points on the hands
You’ll also explore percussion and tapotement techniques, particularly focused on the erector spinae muscles, and finish the routine with invigorating movements inspired by Indian Head Massage to re-energise the client post-treatment.
